How to properly clean my PC keyboard

Keeping your keyboard clean is essential for both hygiene and performance. Here’s how to do it properly:

### **Quick Cleaning**

1. **Turn it upside down** and gently shake out loose debris.

2. **Use compressed air** to blow away dust between the keys.

3. **Brush between keys** with a soft-bristled brush or toothbrush.

4. **Wipe the surface** with a microfiber cloth and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol.

### **Deep Cleaning**

1. **Remove keycaps** (if possible) using a keycap puller.

2. **Soak keycaps** in warm soapy water, then dry them thoroughly.

3. **Clean the keyboard base** with a Q-tip and alcohol wipes.

4. **Reassemble** once everything is completely dry.

Avoid using excessive liquid, and never submerge your keyboard unless it’s designed to be waterproof. If you want a visual guide, check out this [video tutorial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9urVGsiohk). Let me know if you need help with a specific type of keyboard!

  1. Cleaning a keyboard properly helps maintain both hygiene and typing performance, especially when dust builds up between keys over time.
I recently tested a similar idea and it worked well for me. A good takeaway is to must always power off the keyboard first and use compressed air before doing any deep cleaning, similar to how mem reduct tool helps keep system performance stable.
